Preliminary CYSTAT data show that total hourly labour costs in Cyprus rose 3.8% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period of 2025. The wage component increased 3.9%, while non-wage costs rose 3.6%.
Who this matters to
After seasonal adjustment, total hourly labour costs were 1.0% higher than in the first quarter; wages also rose 1.0% and non-wage costs 0.9%. The index uses 2020 as its base year and excludes agriculture, household employers and extraterritorial organisations.
