Local context
CYSTAT's Construction Materials Price Index reached 123.09 points in August 2026, up 0.07% from July and 3.39% from August 2025. For January–August, the index was 2.06% higher year on year.
Who this matters to
Metal products and the combined wood, insulation, chemicals and plastics group each rose 4.60% annually. Electromechanical items increased 3.58%, minerals 2.67% and mineral products 1.35%; electrical material alone was up 7.30%.
