Who can cross, documents, cars and goods.
Nine designated crossings are commonly used: Metehan/Agios Dometios, Ledra Palace, Ledra Street/Lokmacı, Beyarmudu/Pergamos, Akyar/Strovilia, Bostancı/Astromeritis, Yeşilırmak/Limnitis, Derinya/Deryneia and Lefka/Apliki.
Carry a valid passport or accepted travel document; visa eligibility depends on nationality and the side entered first.
Pedestrians can use Ledra Street and Ledra Palace; vehicle crossings require valid driving documents and insurance accepted on the other side.
Rental-car permission and insurance are not automatic. Obtain written approval before crossing.
Goods, tobacco, alcohol and agricultural products are subject to Green Line and customs limits; commercial quantities require declaration.
